Scaling and root planing

It is normal to experience temperature sensitivity, particularly to cold, following scaling and root planing.  The gum tissues may be prone to sensitivity and soreness which should subside in a few days.  Some bleeding around the gum tissues is likely for a day or two.  Brushing and flossing should continue normally.  Oral rinses should be taken as prescribed.

Should any questions, uncertainties, or problems arise, please contact our office.
