Delivery of a new denture will likely result in some discomfort, namely sore spots, and several adjustments may be required to achieve a comfortable fit.
If required, the first adjustment occurs 1 week following denture delivery.
Dentures should not be worn 24 hours a day. Dentures must be removed prior to bed and placed in a clean container filled with water or a denture cleansing solution. Gum tissues need to be denture free for a period of time each day to ensure health.
Clean dentures thoroughly with a brush and water prior to placing them in their container or back in the mouth.
It is normal to experience difficulties with speech at first, but this will subside as the oral muscles adapt to the new denture.
